Nash came to Canada with his family in 1976, settling in British Columbia. He was a stellar athlete in high school and won a basketball scholarship to Santa Clara University. He was selected in the first round of the NBA draft and carved out an All-Star career from 1996 to 2015, including being league MVP twice. Nash is a basketball coach, a co-owner of a MLS soccer franchise, and runs a charitable foundation.
