Gina Parvaneh Cody, 1956- , Iran.

Cody arrived in Canada in 1979, taking up her master's and then her PhD in engineering at Concordia University, becoming the first woman to graduate from the doctoral program in building engineering in 1989. She joined Construction Control Incorporated, going from crane inspector to president and principal shareholder. She sold her company in 2016 and retired, although she continues her professional service to engineering organizations and in particular to Concordia University by sitting on committees and governance boards.
